Welcoming the Shift!

Pisces Moon and North Node Return

Whew! After a very hectic Spring (Awe-some Eclipse energy, Chiron cazimi, Mercury retrograde and more…!!) and a year of devotion to what I value, ‘visioning’ the next, and possibly the last phase of my career and work. Yes! I’ve started to wonder what retirement might look like a decade (or so!) from now. I am thrilled to launch this new website, a natural next step of in the work of the last year to devote space and time to my Complementary work and allows my creative workspace to grow. You can expect to see new pages dedicated to videos and writing projects over the next year.

For most of my nursing career, I’ve embraced and studied complementary approaches to Healing and Wellness. The time has arrived to make this work a greater part of my ‘working’ life because connecting with others in this way in service of Healing does not feel like work, and it is a part of me that needs to show up more in my everyday life.

And who can ignore the Transitions we are under?! Pluto preparing for a stay in Aquarius for the next Twenty years or so! Jupiter has just stepped into Gemini for the next year! To name only two (so MUCH going on in our system right now!) Our planet, all of Humanity, Plant, Animal, and Fungi cohabitants- We are all in this together. The need to move towards collective Wellness is great at this time. My medical practice is meaningful and I love my work. In service to Balance I knew now was the time to devote part of my days and my weeks to the work I have spent as many years studying and practicing, and start sharing. A command from the Cosmos, nothing less.

Healer, heal thyself. I have approached my own personal healing as a holistic endeavor through participation in and receiving immeasurably healing work through gifted healers and traditional healing modalities. These have included Ayurveda & Yoga, massage and energy work including EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique or ‘Tapping’) and various plant medicine methods. I have felt the power in drum making and playing; participating in sweat lodges; leading workshops in communing and medicine making with plants and teaching Women’s Wellness through Dance in various settings. I want to share these experiences with others, and healers as well.

There is a life-force within your soul, seek that life. There is a gem in the mountain of your body, seek that mine. O traveler, if you are in search of that, don’t look outside, look inside yourself and seek that. ~Rumi

As well as receiving & teaching, I have spent more than two decades studying with teachers in these practices, learning how to work with plants in life-changing apprenticeships. I have studied and continue to study with many beautiful Herbalists through walks, workshops, and retreats. Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) 200h with Sivananda Meneekshi Ashram in Madurai, India in 2007. After years of exploring the Mind & Body connection, I delved deeper into Body & Spirit connection working with Alaska Native and non-native populations in rural Alaska, a truly wild part of the planet. I engaged in course work in Interfaith Ministry and Spiritual Counseling with The New Seminary in NYC where I was ordained as an Interfaith Minister in 2009 and I continue to deepen my understanding of archetypes within myself through the work of Transpersonal Astrology since beginning my studies in 2005.

And I continue to learn. The planets continue to move around us, the Earth is changing, I am getting older and my eyes see and body moves differently every year. I have deeply embraced motherhood later in life and the evolution parenting brings about, first through loss and now in the daily work of raising my beautiful son. Every client I work with teaches me new ways to see and be in the world we live in, gaining greater insight into karmic patterns, personal strengths and challenges.

I enjoy sharing this work with others and hope to facilitate a greater understanding of the self and provide opportunities to learn about and heal the physical, emotional, and spiritual through approaches engaging the whole person.

Please join me in the Journey! I hope you will!
